中年音楽狂日記：Toshiya's Music Bar

このメンバーが２００７年の夏に、近くに来てくれていたのですが、都合があって見に行けず、今年一月にも同メンバーで来ていたのですが、今度は、近くに来てくれずで、見にいけませんでした。次の機会に期待したいです。

ＣＤをお聞きになった限り、期待以上のものではなかったようですが、ジャズに限らず、音楽を私自身も期待して聞くことが多々あります。その逆で、期待していなかった時には、すごく儲けた気分になります（笑）

今日は、主人の誕生日で（本当は、２月２９日）、今晩は近くのレストランで、イタリア料理を食べに行く予定です♪

Laieさん，こんばんは。このバンド，ツアーもしているっていう情報はありましたが，ドイツにも行ってたんですねぇ。

確かにこのアルバムは期待値が大きかっただけに，今イチ感が強いのですが，それでも平均的なレベルにはあると思います。でも，これが彼らに求めるものではないのは確かですね。

Besides, I discoverd for myself some new, in fact one is old, jazz artists which you probably will know, Wes Montgomery and Mark Whitfield. Did you make any articles about them?

Some of his albums are out of print, though, I like his album called "Finger Painting" in which he played tunes by Herbie Hancocks with Nicholas Payton and Christian McBride.

How are you? I hope everyting is going well. Here in Germany everything is fine.

Yesterday I bought another jazz-cd, this time it's wes montgomery, unfortunately the one you recommended was not available, so I will order it later. Anyway Wes Montgomery is an amazing guitarist and I like the way of his performing very much. Yesterdays CD is a Trio with guitar (Wes Montgomery), organ (Mel Rhyne) and drums (Jimmy Cobb). The first impression is very good, but I will listen a couple of times more before I judge.

Last week, as you know, we went to the music fair in Germany, which is expected to be the biggest fair in Europe. All big and also all small companies of the music business were present to show instruments, studio equipment, amplifiers, grand pianos, etc.
I went there to test classical guitars which I was going to buy. There is a big range of guitars with very varying prices and qualities. Of course extremely expensive guitars are good but I don't know its really worth. And in the middle price section the instruments are so different, for example instrument A is double expensive as instrument B, but the quality of sound and manufacture is worse. So I had to test all instruments very well before I found the instrument that fits me most.
Anyway, the favorite instrument I played on the fair was a Yamaha guitar which is totally perfect manufactured and it has a very great sound.

During the last month I composed another piece which is a Bossa Nova for solo guitar. It's quite difficult to play but I'm somehow ready for a recording. I think I will record it next weekend and then I also will make another upload for Youtube.

Thanks for your message. I believe you have purchased "Boss Guitar" album and it is another good one. Please enjoy it!

With respect to the guitar you bought, it is difficult to make a decision. When I bought my guitar in Barcelona, Spain, I tried 6 or 7 guitars starting from a reasonable price line and I made a final decision in terms of sound, design of the sound hole inlay, machine heads, and comfort to play. It was not extremely expensive, but, it cost me not a few.

I believe that I should practice more to ensure ROI, though, I have not played it for a while due to the lack in time.

Anyway, I will be waiting for your new upload at YouTube.

Yes, you are right, the CD that you mentioned was "boss guitar". I like it very much and I think it is great music.

おっしゃる通り、悪くはないんだけど、(oz noyの演奏とか)惹かれる部分もあるんだけど、なんかちょっと期待はずれな感じがありましたよね(笑)

ＢＡＮＮという名前をつけたバンドなので、しかも複数回のツアーにも出てからのリリースだったようなので、今後の活動に期待できるというところだと思っています。

私はこのアルバムは結局評価できないという判断をしてから聞いていませんが，今また聞いてみたら，感覚が違うかもしれませんね。

でも私にはダメだったなぁ，このアルバム（苦笑）。
